Well maybe not. But he has suffered a major stroke this time and, according to the Guardian, his political career could be over. A friend of mine suggested that the army might take over given the fractious state of Israel's multi-multi-multi-party system. But then what would the colonial settler state trade on if not its reputation as the "only democracy in the Middle East?"
I must say that it looks like touch and go for the old fellow. The Independent's report looks like an obituary and my hits have more than double for the time of day with people googling "Sharon dead".
